Our newest VR educational platform – Kognita Edu – Debuts at the Poznań Educational Fair
Kognita has recently unveiled its new XR educational platform, Kognita Edu. However, an announcement alone isn’t enough to fully convey what we’ve created. That’s why we decided to showcase Kognita Edu as an exhibitor at the Educational Fair in Poznań, organized by MTP Group.
Kognita Edu is our latest project – a platform for creating and hosting lessons, offering a fresh perspective on VR in education. But first, let’s take a look at how the educational VR industry has evolved – Until now, dedicated hardware for schools has been expensive and quickly outdated, and the software used for lessons hasn’t fared much better.
That’s why we created Kognita Edu – to address the well-known challenges of the educational VR industry. At the Educational Fair in Poznań, we had the chance to meet both educators and students, many of whom were eager to learn more about our platform.
Our platform is designed for primary and high schools, offering over 200 lessons aligned with the curriculum. However, teachers can also create their own lessons using 3D models, 360° panoramas, videos, photos, and other ready-to-use materials. At the event, we showcased these tools along with other features of our app. Students and teachers had the chance to explore ancient Egypt, Greece, and various geological ecosystems firsthand.

Case studies and research show that AR and VR in education deliver positive results—provided they are implemented thoughtfully. In practice, many VR lessons designed for education turn out to be impractical in real classroom settings due to poor design, an unintuitive interface (UI/UX), and the lack of a multiplayer mode. These elements are crucial in determining whether VR education will be engaging and effective.
Kognita Edu addresses all these issues and is compatible with the most popular VR/MR headsets – Meta Quest, Pico, and DPVR. What truly sets it apart from other VR education platforms is its lifetime license. Schools don’t need to repurchase it every few years. They buy it once and that’s it.
Students don’t need a computer to access Kognita Edu – just a VR headset with our app installed. Meanwhile, teachers can create and manage lessons remotely using our website or app on a computer or tablet. They can spawn 3D objects, change environments, and control what students see in real time.

With our educational platform, Kognita Edu, we recommend using Meta Horizon Managed Services (MHMS)—a Meta solution that significantly simplifies the management of a VR headset fleet.
Imagine having to manually install, launch, and update applications on each headset—when there could be 20, 30, or even more. Now add the time pressure right before a lesson, when you only have a few minutes to set everything up. Sounds like a nightmare? With MHMS, you can do all of this with a single click, saving time, reducing stress, and avoiding unnecessary complications.
